Use cases
One register, four ways in
The PM's daily screen comes first. The director's read, the document controller's register and the contributor's list are built from the same records, never a second truth.
By person
The screen each person opens first
The project, with its reason on the header
Open a project and the strip under the title says what its health is and why: the slip against baseline, the forecast against plan, the age of the last status note. Post the note, flag the decision, re-capture the baseline when the plan changes. The weekly report is written from what you recorded.
Every figure carries who entered it and when.
The works an owner answers for
The vocabulary is capital delivery's own: work packages, baselines, transmittals, commitments. It reads the same whichever kind of asset is being built.
- Energy Transmission lines, substations, interconnections, generation and storage: the slate the sample is drawn from.
- Transportation Highways, bridges, crossings and the structures along them.
- Water Treatment, pumping, distribution and the works that protect them.
- Communications Towers, links, fibre and the sites that carry them.
- Built works The buildings and grounds a community owns and keeps.
What stays yours
CiviTrac was built against one electric utility. Anything that assumed that owner is now configuration or an example, not product.
- Numbering schemes Document and drawing numbers in your convention.
- Approved sign-in domains Who arrives as a viewer, and from which addresses.
- Work-package types The set, with an icon and colour for each.
- Map defaults Where the map opens.
- The names of your systems Finance and asset systems are named as yours on the provenance line, not as anyone else's.
See it on your own slate
A walkthrough runs on the sample, or on a portfolio you send ahead.
